A production line teaches you one thing fast: the data exists, the answers don't. We built AutomAssist to close that gap.
THE STORY
From 2021 to 2024, our CEO Nelson Atipo leads automation and digitalization on the 4680 battery assembly lines at Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory. There he makes the observation that will become the company's foundation: thousands of technical documents scattered across systems, languages, and formats, while production needs answers, right now.
Jean-Philippe Nitkowski and Lucien Moy are already entrepreneurs. Together they design and ship platforms at scale, internal and external, for big corporations. Jean-Philippe leads product and design, Lucien development and architecture. When AutomAssist is founded, Jean-Philippe becomes CPO, Lucien CTO. Antonio Ibars and Miquel Jimenez, engineers on the same lines as Nelson, complete the team.
The team is balanced: deep knowledge of Industry 4.0, industrial processes, and automation systems, paired with the expertise to build a platform that meets the scalability, deployment, and security demands of the world's largest factories.
In June 2024, AutomAssist is founded in Paris, so no one has to hunt for an answer that already exists.

OUR APPROACH
Beyond the team and the story, here is how AutomAssist actually works. We deploy one AI agent per data source — CMMS, ERP, SCADA, MES, production historians, technical documents — to index and make your industrial data queryable. Each agent keeps the specifics of its source system, which is why there is no heavy normalisation to do first.
Those agents are tied together by a Knowledge Graph that contextualises entities, equipment and processes. It lets you move naturally between incidents, parts, procedures and history — and get actionable answers faster than classic data pipelines allow. Because of this architecture, the solution is operational in days, not months, and sharply reduces the need for consulting and data preparation. It runs cloud-agnostic or on-premise, depending on your security constraints.
